Jennifer Free, RMT

Jennifer received her Honours Massage Therapy diploma from Algonquin College and has since furthered her education by obtaining her Fitness Consultant, Personal Training Specialist , and Kinesiologist Taping Certifications, and has taken numerous courses in Sports and Athletic Massage, Myofascial Release, and Nutrition. Jennifer has many years of experience, particularly working at the Whistler Athletes Village in the Polyclinic for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and was the Massage Therapist for the Para-Alpine Ski Team for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. She excels in sports massage, repetitive strain injuries, chronic pain, postural dysfunctions, and pregnancy massage.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Stephen ran a successful practice and worked as a faculty member at Northumberland College, a school for Massage Therapy. He instructed classes on Anatomy, Clinical Assessment, Treatment Skills, and Massage/Hydrotherapy Techniques. Stephen has had the privilege of working with many wonderful clients over the years, and has developed a style of treatment that is therapeutically effective while remaining clinical and comfortable.

Virginia graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy where she received the Heart Award – given to the student who shows the most unconditional positive regard toward others and has a passionate commitment to excel within the profession. Prior to her education at VCMT. she attended the University of British Columbia where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is a member of the RMTBC’s Professional Practice Group for Gerontology as well as the Professional Practice Group for Mental Health. Virginia is driven to work with clients to facilitate their personal health goals and optimize their overall well-being.

Lauren Pesarchuk, RMT

Lauren graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She has since completed continuing education in systemic deep tissue therapy and core stabilization. She facilitates and encourages the recovery of her client’s health, helps them find optimal balance and stability, and empowers them with knowledge so they can reach their own goals with confidence and ease. Her style of massage is dependant on the client, going deep into musculature when needed and always with a flow that allows the body to relax.

Caroline graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Previous to that, she studied Kinesiology, specifically exercise physiology and she is also a Certified Yoga Teacher. Her treatment background includes sports injuries, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, Sciatic Nerve issues, and Fibromyalgia. Her style of massage is very dependant on the specific needs of the client, focusing on present issues and prevention for the future.
 

Daniela Jones, RMT

Daniela graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where she received the first VCMT scholarship awarded for academic achievement and leadership, as well as the Heart Award – given to the student who displays exemplary compassion for clients. Her background includes paediatric care, treatment of neural and systemic issues, and sports therapy. She uses educational tools while in treatment to offer clients individualized programs for home care in order to maximize the benefit of massage therapy.
 

Courtenay Pletz, RMT

Courtenay graduated from Langara College with additional certification in Subtle Manual Therapies. Her focus offers education for clients seeking to reduce the physical dysfunction and pain due to stress and muscle imbalances. Engaging with clients through assisted stretching and mobilization techniques, Courtenay encourages the use of home care and body awareness to carry the experience forward after the session is complete. Her background outside of the clinic as an avid skier and cyclist also contributes to her understanding in treating sports injury and the rehabilitation process.
 

Jennica Flodin, RMT

Jennica graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Prior to her education in this field, she spent several years as a professional dancer. She incorporates this understanding of movement with stretching techniques and her education in neurological and systemic conditions to offer comprehensive treatments to clients and education on injury prevention.

Robin Perry, RMT

Robin graduated from the 3000 hour program at WCCMT in 2005. Since then his studies have focused on the pelvis, low back, neck and shoulder complex. He returned to WCCMT on several occasions as a clinical instructor. His patient goals include helping restore pain free function to the body and working with patients in creating a health care plan to reduce pain and discomfort. He has been trained in traditional swedish, deep tissue techniques, as well as specialized modalities like fascial work and ligamentous articulation strain techniques. His skills are versatile and varied to adapt to every patients specific treatment needs. Robin has volunteered with the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC and served as president of the College of Massage Therapists of BC
